Les Saveurs de la Vallée de la Haute Sarthe
As part of the Contrat de Relance et de Transition Ecologique (CRTE), the elected representatives of the CC VHS have decided to develop a number of agricultural initiatives, including an agricultural diagnosis by the Normandy Regional Chamber of Agriculture (to be carried out in 2022) and the creation of an agri-food business incubator with support from the Normandy Chamber of Commerce and Industry (2022).
In 2023, a Territorial Food Project (Projet Alimentaire Territorial - PAT) should be implemented at the level of the intermunicipality (2023 to 2025). The CC VHS is a winner of the National Food Project (PNA).
The aim is to pinpoint the supply and demand for local produce in order to enable the development and diversification of agricultural production by paying farmers a fair price, and to meet the expectations of the population (quality and price of products offered to the greatest number).
Under this scheme, the local authority has played its role as a federator, proposing to coordinate actions with the region's driving forces: businesses, collective and individual catering establishments, as well as the CCAS of the 31 communes and partners such as the CAF or the MSA for the aspect of combating food waste and the social aspect of this operation.
Agri-food companies can be accommodated in this structure and pool their resources with other local producers.
A meeting room and an office have been set up for training courses and meetings.
