The CC VHS, which is responsible for drinking water, manages this service in 10 communes, 9 of which are managed by the Mixed Drinking Water Supply Syndicate (MDWSS).

DRINKING WATER - LE MÊLE SUR SARTHE SECTOR
Management: the CC Vallée de la Haute Sarthe.
The drinking water service includes: production, protection of the abstraction point, treatment and transfer.
Territory served : Bures, Coulonges-sur-Sarthe, Laleu, Le Mêle-sur-Sarthe, Les Ventes-de-Bourse, Marchemaisons, Saint-Aubin-d’Appenai, Saint-Julien-sur-Sarthe, Saint-Léger-sur-Sarthe, Sainte-Scolasse-sur-Sarthe.
Name of service provider : VEOLIA EAU
Resource and location: Well at ‘Courpotin’.
The service has its own treatment plant: the Courpotin plant in Coulonges-sur-Sarthe. To supplement the demand for drinking water, the CC VHS buys from :
- SMAEP of the Essay region,
- SIAEP of Bazoches sur Hoëne

DRINKING WATER - GÂPRÉE SECTOR
Management : SMAEP de GAPREE ( Syndicat Mixte d’Alimentation en Eau Potable).
The service includes production.
Territory served : Courtomer, Gâprée, Le Chalange, Le Plantis, Montchevrel, Saint-Germain-le-Vieux, Saint-Léonard-des-Parcs, Tellières-le-Plessis, Trémont.
Name of service provider : SAUR.
Resource and location : forage « Le Louvoy ».
The department has a treatment plant : the ‘Le Louvoy’ plant.
To supplement consumption, the SMAEP buys treated water from the SMAEP of Moulins-la-Marche and soon from the SMAEP of Essay.

Each year, the drinking water service draws up a Report on the Price and Quality of the Service (RPQS). This report provides information on the service's activities over the previous year.
