Map of collective sanitation in the area

Whether the project involves a connection to the network, a study of a wastewater treatment system, or the sale of a property, owners will find below order forms and standard files designed to facilitate the examination of projects.
Collective sanitation
The Communauté de Communes is responsible for operating, maintaining and renewing the wastewater treatment facilities and installations that collect, transport and treat wastewater before returning it to the natural environment.
It owns and manages 8 wastewater treatment plants and 11 pumping stations located in the communes of Courtomer, Gâprée, Hauterive, Neuilly-le-Bisson and Ferrière-la-Verrerie.
Veolia maintains 27 in the following municipalities : Coulonges-sur-Sarthe, Laleu, Le Mêle-sur-Sarthe, Le Ménil-Broût, Saint-Aubin-d'Appenai, Saint-Julien-sur-Sarthe, Saint-Léger-sur-Sarthe, Sainte-Scolasse-sur-Sarthe.
The treatment plants concerned are emptied every year. A lifting station consists of a tank, a lifting pump and specific accessories to ensure perfect management of all types of water, whatever the weather: charged water (grey water, effluent, black water, black water), waste water (kitchen water, washing machine water, bathroom water, greasy water, etc.) and even rainwater (drainage, rainwater).
The purpose of this lift station is to force the evacuation of this water so that the sewage system can function normally.

Water bill charges :
It is made up of :
- a fixed part (annual subscription)
- a variable component (rate per cubic metre of water consumed)
- a fee from the Water Agency for the modernisation of collection networks (per cubic metre of water consumed)
The fixed and variable portions are defined annually by a decision of the Communauté de Communes.
Billing terms
The water treatment charge is billed at the same time as the drinking water charge, by the managers of the drinking water utilities.
Two bills are issued in the course of the year, each corresponding to consumption in the previous six-month period and the subscription for the coming six-month period.
Other communes: The sanitation charge is billed separately from the drinking water charge, by the Public Treasury. Two invoices are issued each year, one for the full year's subscription and the other for the full year's consumption.
Service regulations
The terms and conditions are set out in the collective sanitation service regulations.
